If you want to compare games, do it with respect to things significant to the horror shooter genre. For example, story is a major thing in singleplayer RPG games, but absolutely worthless in PVP games. Genre's have certain aspects that are important, and others that are worthless. So playercount is pointless as a metric for games of this genre. It would mean Apex Legends is better than Elden Ring, and TF2 better than any of your precious Resident Evil Games. If it did, it would make games that are highly replayable (PVP games, sandbox titles, MMO's, etc.) the best games in existence. Replayability isn't a major factor in horror shooters, end of story. It still shows how many players plays the game daily so.
